Caparison would do better if they sold their guitars at a more reasonable price, for what it's worth you can get better ones in the US for less money and trouble.

The IA model was the only one I thought was worth considering, but the ESP Kiko completely blows it out of the water.

Yeah, but the IA's pricing is merely ridiculous. The Kiko is friggin' INSANE.

However, neither has seven strings, so...

It is pretty rediculous, 714,000 Yen msrp is rather high...but from the 12th fret all the way up to the top it's scalloped...so maybe that attributes to the cost a bit, aside from the amazing flame.

If you really want a guitar with 27 frets, check out the Edwards E-CY-130D/R. It's only 136,500 Yen msrp, so much more reasonable.

Still, not a seven though.

That caparison comes with some thin-ass strings on it too.

For about $400 more than the Edwards I could get a 27 fret 7 string from KXK (I think - I haven't asked him, but that seems about right). Of course, it wouldn't have a nice top, but...

Then again, I don't even use 24.

I don't think we've seen a nice top because no one has asked for one yet.

I'm paying about $1800 for mine, and I pretty much loaded it up with options (compared to most I've seen), so I'd guess your pricing is right on the mark.

I've always loved Caparison headstocks. It's like a sharper reverse Ibanez headstock. Anybody realize that the Agile Interceptor's headstock looks incredibly similar. I personally like it!
