![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | On the fence about my Carvin :OMFfreakinG: so a while back, i got a steal (yes, even by carvin DC7x7 used prices ) a steal on a used 727. Had a crack in the neck that had been professionally fixed (very well i might add), and some finish flaws (fucker abused his guitar ). It also apparently has a crack in the fretboard somewhere around 22 that was professionally repaired, but im not sure if i buy that. i cant find it anywhere .anyways, the thing is in definite players condition, but plays fucking awesome. I can get the action way lower than i actually like it, the fretwork is really nice, and its an all around badass guitar other than finish issues. Plays amazing, and sounds pretty damn good with blackouts too ![]() oh, and it has an OFR7 ![]() But i just dont get on with it anymore ![]() I dunno. the neck carve is super comfy, but its bigger than id prefer. I grew up on the original wizard for the most part, and at times, the wizard II. Suprisingly, i think the S7320 has the most comfortable 7 string profile ive played yet. I like it more than the RG7620s' as well. I just know i cant get how much its really worth out of it. Carvins' resale value is so low that i know i wont get anywhere near a guitar this nice deserves to go for, even with it being as beat up as it is. Shit, when i bought the thing, i was comforted by the fact that if i couldnt repair it (didnt know about the crack in the neck being fixed right or not), i could part it out and get my money back, and still have the body and stuff left over. thats ridiculous See, the logical part of me says that if i wont use it, i should sell it, even if its for way less than it really ought to be worth. But then i keep thinking, for the money, i probably cant get anything remotely as nice as this. But it doesnt matter if its nice if i dont use it right? I just wanna hear what some other people think about this. Im looking at possibly shooting it to mesh with some scrill for the CSD1 or something. Reverse Headstocks or Bust Dude...i just got a spam email that was titled "Funky date rape trick" -Zepp88 I just got another funny email "Her pussy smiled at me" -Zepp88 Don't tell me you haven't heard of Raptor Jesus It's important that you know this information :headnod: It will decide your fate when we are pwned. -JoeOvChaosI was going KAT KAT KAT KAT and you were going KAT... chk... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | what's the specs? I'm not a trem fan, but if the price is right, and the specs are good.. (and if i can sell my Tokai!!)I am a fan of big necks, i have been shouting my LP-studio love since i decided to get a new 7 lol. I know what you mean about not getting on with a guitar though, the C7 is leaving for the same reason -the neck comfort factor. 3 cheers for free gear! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sell it to me. It's the only logical choice. ![]() Seriously if you're not playing it and you got it for a steal then just sell it and move on to something you will play. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nah, sold the afterburner. Buddha, pretty much any 4 conductor passive can be split. the only actives that can be "split" is the emg 707tw (although its actually 2 seperate pickups, not a true split, but it functions as a split for your purpose), but youd have to route for EMG's to use that. i thought of throwing a pa2 and like a pi2 in there or something. |
