oh budda, theres nothin wrong with the Spider IIIs, once you add an additional 12" Celestion V-30 to the chain....

My 27-fretter is 25.5", which is the only scale I can deal with anymore.

Kahn, i've used a spider III and made it sound reasonable - but i'd still upgrade from one before buying a 27+ fret guitar.
