well as to it being thing, could it have been a veneer? really thin, almost paper thin layer of real wood, but different from photoflame

I keep asking him to do a 7-8 string Reaper... any color. no dice so far, he hasn't responded yet and it's been a few months so i'm assuming it's a no.

I've seen some badly stained veneers that lost all their shimmer. The telltale sign of a photo flame is that you can see the line screen pattern from the printing process.

I'll leave the possibility open that I could be wrong, but I don't think so. It sure looked that way to me. <sigh> Whatever... sorry, but I really couldn't care less. It's still a cool guitar for what it is.

This is damn close to the 7 Ive always wanted. If it were only routed for passives.. I suppose one could replace the 707s with blackouts if they wanted a change, but going to passives is no longer an option. I bet the price would be cheaper. I may have to save up for this one.. if it stays in stock long enough!

Thinking of mailordering an Interceptor, or more likely a Pro27, tothe UK. Anyone played either? I need ultra ultra lo action, can they do that?
