SG7 Any one???

I am looking into building this

:

I want to make it with these specs:
H-S-H probably BKP's
OFR7 w/ Piezos
5-way selector JEM style wiring
JEM style Jack
Maple/walnut neck-thru
Mahogany wings
ebony FB
Pyramid inlays
24-fret

That's gonna be amazing. I love the sg shape an I always thought it would be great for 7-string.

With BKPs and jem-style wiring... wow, nothing needs to be said.

why not just get a ltd Viper 7 and coil tap it...?

Because the LTD would be a piece of crap compared to a guitar built to your own specs? Thats like saying to all the guys placing KXK orders "Hey guys, why not just buy an LTD and custom paint it?"

Except for the headstock... just that SG body shape with the slim tapered headstock would take some getting used to for me!

I HATE the viper because of the way the back is shaped like a mustang

i just prefer the symmetry of the sg

I really don't like the Viper 7 string, if it was the same proportions as the 6 string I would love it.. but as is, it looks like this giant mutated thing and it is uncomfortable to play. This one looks cool aside from the headstock.. looks completely at odds with the body, and doesn't even have straight string pull (which I always thought was the point of a narrow headstock) and its very long especially considering how short the horns are on SGs.
Nice specs other than that, though.

The headstock's really not for me, but whatever tickles yer pickle man, it's gonna be sweet!

I use AutoCAD and I have quite a library of guitars if you are interested
