from what ive heard the Dean evo has the thickest neck in a 7 . wait till techno and noodles to chime in for it seems they both had the same guitar. they would definately give you a better opinion on it

I have a thread about it, noodles is in the title

darren, techno i think commented, leon, noodles, jacksonplayer (who played dave's EVO 7)

it sounds like it'll have the comfiest neck, as i want something similar to my LP studio. believe it or not, i can fly around on a les paul haha

3 cheers for free gear!

With the GT-10 now available, you should be able to find a sweet deal on a GT-8.

An EVO 7 will not let you down. The neck is huge, but it's got a nice "v"-ish carve so it's very comfortable.

V-ish carve? I dunno about that... mine is a pretty hefty "C".

Budda: We're trying to get a gig with Terrorhorse down in London this summer, and my Evo is back in regular rotation for louder shows. You'll be more than welcome to try it out.

If you don't like the price of the GT-8, you could always pick up a GT-6. I still love mine after 6 years. It's only some of the new parallel processing capabilities in the GT-10 that are making me consider upgrading.

Darren, that's awesome! But I'll be at home.. so you need to roadtrip it to Ottawa for me lol

can I run the GT-6 into the comp for easy peasy recording as well?

Interesting... I must have a weird one. It's incredibly light (unlike Noodles') and definitely has a more V than C profile. It's a subtle V, but the shoulders are pretty sloped.

Weird.

Ah, i didn't realize Ottawa was home for you. We're hoping to do a mini tour to Belleville, Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal at some point, but it'll depend on whether we can coordinate that or not.

The GT-6 can definitely be used for recording, either via its analog outs, or its S/PDIF digital out.
