Standby-7 needed: ibz vs. schecter vs. ltd.

so i won't change my main seven (RG7420) - but the devil never sleeps and as we play about 20 gigs a year, it could happen (as it already did once) that a string breaks live...changing strings on a FR live is bu-urns, so i need a replacement guitar for such situations. will sell some of my gear this week because i need a new cab also...so new 7s which are affordable (about 400,- euro) are:

Ibby RG7321
LTD SC-207
Schecter Diamond Omen 7
Schecter Diamond Demon 7

i can only test the 7321, others would have to be bought blind. the schecter demon would be my last choice due to the active PUs (don't want to take care of changing batteries). anyone who played/owned all of these?

Yes, provided you dont leave it plugged in overnight and drain the batteries out, something I am terribly guilty of

I think your best off with finding a good used 74/762* Ibby. The are incredibly solid and reliable guitars. And are always made better with a good pickup swap.

Ive had experience with the older omens, the ones with the goofy headstock, not the newer 3 over 4 ones. They feel great and play great, however as most will tell you, the neck might be too much for ya as they are on the thick side. But definitely a good choice, also made better when ya swap the pickups.

The 7321 is also a great option if your gonna swap the pickups and have it setup real well.

But ideally your best bet is another 74/76er. You simply cannot go wrong with those axes. Usually those are found at great prices, I got my 7621 for roughly 325 or so.

Go for the 7321. Swap the bridge pup, neck also if necessary and call it a day.

EMGs are rated for 3000 hours of use. That translated to a bit over 4 months of leaving it plugged in before the battery dies.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

That must be on the more recent EMG's, I have a guitar with some older ones, before they started using that clip that allows you to swap other emg's (or blackouts)
That one seems to die out if i leave it plugged in.

The 7321 is the bottom of the barrel for that group of guitars, the schecters feel like a totally different class of instrument. Never played the LTD.
