HammerAndSickle is a jewel in the rough
N. ****ing. G. D. (lots of big pictures)

So, if you saw my thread when I first joined here you'll know I purchased my first seven on e-bay last week. And it arrived today, in all it's FedEx splendor! I was at school and no one was home to sign for it, but apparently they make a habit of leaving $500 guitars on a porch for anyone to take

Keep in mind my photography skills range from "simian" to "infant", so bear with me

****load of packing material:

Gig bag:

*epic music*

Specs:
RG7321
25.5" scale length
Fixed bridge
DiMarzio pickups:
Air Norton 7 (neck)
Blaze Custom (bridge) -kicks all kinds of ass
FretFX LED's - side of fingerboard
Petrucci vinyl decals

The decals are alright. They're not professional, of course, but what more do you expect from stickers? (glorified stickers ) One of them has a bubble in it and the green face cuts in on the pickup cavity a bit (they're made for a six-string) but I'd rather have this than boring ol' black.

My personal favorite picture somehow despite my photography skills it turned out decent.

The light generator. Runs on AAAs () and you can sorta see the yellow line on the edge of the fretboard. Basically a clear rubbery material that houses the LED's. There're two settings: high and low.

I went to the darkest room in my house (bathroom :P) and turned the lights on high to show off how bright they are.

And finally, an out-of-focus shot of me with my new baby you can sorta see my room.

In summary, she plays amazingly. I feel much more comfortable on the seven neck than my sixes, though it's a little too thin and flat for me. The lights and decals just serve to make it unique and wonderful. DiMarzio pickups sound great: there's just enough contrast between the neck and bridge to give a variety of tones without one overshadowing the other. The only flaw I've noticed is a bubble in one of the decals and some buzzing around the 22nd fret. Overall it's a great purchase: she might just become my main guitar

Interesting, it's got the blade switch instead of the Dimarzio Part #EP1111.

Is that a standard IBBY JPM, or an RG7620 that's had the Jemsite applique' put on it?

EDIT: Duhhhh, just noticed the back of the headstock saying 7321 & the string thru non-trem bridge.
