eh, does it really matter? same guitar except one has pickguard mounted electronics and fancy inlays.

Having owned both the old UVs (PWH, UV7BK greendot) play much better than the RG7620s. If budget is important the RG7620 is still a damn nice playing guitar and will run you less than half what an old UV will.
If you're talking about the newer / current UVs, 7620 hands down.

I own a '97 UV7BK and '91 UV7PWH and i just recently sold a RG7620 and i will say that the UV's smoke the 7620. Dont get me wrong the 7620 is a great guitar but it is'nt the same as a UV. I just personally love the feel and tone of the UV's as opposed to a 7620.
