CFK is on a distinguished road
New 7-string, 24 frets, fixed bridge - around 1.000 bucks

Hi @ all!

I'm new here and have no 7-string at the moment.
-BUT I'm going to order one soon.

Oh, sorry for my fuckin' bad English. I'm from Austria.

I need something with 24-frets, fixed bridge around 1.000 EUR / USD.
I have to order the guitar via an online store because our local shop has no 7-strings.

I'm looking for a nice metal tone (Outworld, Nevermore, Black Label Society) and since I play many leads I want a 1a-playability.

Any suggestions?

First off, Welcome!!

My personal suggestion would be a Schecter C-7 Blackjack, or Hellraiser. Agile has some really nice stuff for great prices too (rondomusic.com) They just have spotty availabilty on products from time to time. Check those out, and I'm sure people will chime in with more suggestions!

I'm about as cool as a fart in a space helmet.

For that price you could get a Schecter Jeff Loomis hardtail.. that would be a great guitar if you play lots of leads, especially considering the stuff you like.

Coobanez will become famous soon enough
I'd check out the Ibanez HRG series, from Ikebe in Japan since you're in Australia. Also I'd check out the standard RG 7621, 7421, and the 7321 just like Shawn said. I've never played a Schecter, so I can't give my insight on those.

He's from Austria, not Australia

Austria

I have a Loomis with the Floyd and I love it, and I can only imagine the TOM version would be just as badass. I recommend it.

Do you know if you like passive or active pickups more? That might narrow your choices down as well.
