Otherwise 2000 grit wet/dry could do the trick.
lo pro edge. i haven't tried swapping it, but that's a great idea. i did sand it with some very fine grade alumina paper (5 micron if i recall correctly) but it may have been too fine to do any good, or i might not have had enough patience to make enough of a difference. i'll swap it out this weekend and we'll see if that helps.
