Man, that lines up perfect. It's like the minions bow to the devil that's watch over by the all seeing, flexing arm of the universe.

I cut the ball end off, I'm an ignoramus and that's why I do it that way.

I actually just switched to a new set of strings that I wanted to try.
I usually use ErnieBall 9's, but I am trying this set of Diadarrio 10's. Funny thing is, on the Diaddario's, the end of the string (opposite the ball end) on the wound strings, it has a 3-4 inch piece that is not wound. So it really only left with me one option as far as stringing the guitar goes. Clearly it would not be a good idea to clamp the unwound part (leaving 2-3 inches of unwound at the bridge) and stringing in reverse. I COULD have cut the unwound section off, but I decided to give the good ol ball-cuting method another try.

LOL. Thanks Wayne for the reference.
Its useful, but kind of off-topic. There ARE two ways to do this. I was just kind of polling the users to see which way is preferred and to see if anyone knew of any reason NOT do string backwards. But thanks for the reference. |
