Wolfie is a jewel in the rough
Hey guys i have a dilemma

So here's the thing..
I ordered a Dean RC7 in august last year, and im sick of waiting for it..
Anyway.. For a good while now ive had major GAS towards an Ibanez RG2228, so im just wondering if you guys have some input?
I already have an Ibanez RG1527 which i absolutely love, and tho i have no doubt that the RC7 will play better, its not like im unhappy with how the ibbie plays! Quite the opposite actually
Soo.. whats your thoughts on the matter?

Feel Enjoy!

have you ever tried the 2228?
I tried it, and I liked it, but it's not for me

arktan is just really nicearktan is just really nice
I have the 2228 and it's a hell of an axe (but I had to re-adjust almost everything on that thing before i was able to shred ordinary, from strings to neck-tension and bridge height..... I'm still in the process of optimizing it on the higher strings.... the factory settings were simply not for me...)

Soundwise I can tell you that the 808EMG's are badass... if you like actives.
They're pretty similar to 707's but much closer to 85's somehow (that's just my oppinion)

So much for the 2228 but about your dilemma: Sorry, can't help. I can imagine that the Dean RC7 WILL definately kick ass but you have to find out for yourself if an 2228 is the thing for you or the dean

excuse me for being not that much helpful

B36arin is on a distinguished road
I've only heard good things about the RG2228, and I'd kill for an 8 string, so I'd definitely go for that one.

Agree, especially about the factory setup. I ended up selling mine though, almost entirely based on the scale. It's just too short for my liking.

I'd cancel the order, and try something out and buy something else (if you can't try the 2228).

Maybe it's just my impatience, but I couldn't wait almost 9 months for a guitar.

try the 8, if you don't like it, you'd have time to sell it before the RC ships, and I can't see you losing much (if any) cash on it, just do a Zimbloth and keep the tags etc on it, sell it as new

(this wasn't even the usual points scoring off Nick's gearwhoring, I think it's a fucking good idea!)
