if it helps at all, i just recently shimmed the neck on my Ibanez RG550... cut a piece from an old credit card for shim material, and it worked out perfectly, i have the perfect action i want, and all the range i could possibly ask for from my trem.

I just finished doing it, and you sir, saved me 60 dollars. The action is great and plays fast as ever. Thanks for helping out! Now I'm gonna toss a pair of dimarzios in it and have a blast heh.
