Cool, I may have misinterpreted the initial post...my bad!

If you're thinking of body design, with the "shredder" comment, I'm not sure how much good this will do you, but...

Ibanez currently offers the RG8527 (floyd-equipped maple topped seven string) J-Custom and a RG7 whose model name I forget that's oiled mahogany and fixed bridge (hot) in Japan, which can be custom ordered from some of the shops out there for a surprisingly reasonable price. Aside from that, there's the 2027 and 2127 piezo-equipped 7's, the CT, and the CST on the used market, as well as the S7420 (black, and trans teal with a maple top) and S507 (I've seen black, and a few red). I think the GRX's are mahogany, too.

Virtually everything Schecter currently offers (barring the Omen7) is mahogany.

There was some talk of a 24 3/4-scale mahogany EB/MM Petrucci model coming out in this year's NAMM, but rumors gradually died out, and I'm thinking the pics I saw might have been a one-off for John.

There's the Dean Evo 7 and the Epi 7 - check out Darren's Evo 7, that thing's hot.

I'm sure I'm missing a few, but that's still rather a lot of options. From the sound of it, I'd say you're a strong candidate for a Schecter.

Nice, Jerich.

My S 7420 is Mahogany.

I recently picked up a Schecter Hellraiser and it's a fantastic guitar. If your looking for a string-thru fixed bridge it's a great choice.

I have one of those. The body is mahogany (sapelle), but the cap is alder and the neck is maple. And yeah, the stock pickups were worthless - I replaced them with medium output dimarzios. I love fat necks though, that's why I picked up the guitar.

I'll check out the guitars that have been named in this thread. When I said all mahogany though, I meant the neck too. Maple necks are great, but mahogany has its advantages.

Schecter is a good company, I've never played one of their 7 strings though. Their fender and superstrat clones are nice.

Ok, I don't like the look of the schecter hellcat. The scale length is 26.5".... that won't be comfortable for me. Besides that, it looks good.

Alright.

www dot ibanez dot com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=AX7221
AX7221

I've actually played this guitar before, and I thought it was terrible! Really bight, harsh, brittle, and sterile. I was convinced that it was made out of plywood or something. But it had EMG pickups in it. The site claims that mahogany is the body wood, which means that with the right pickups it probably won't sound bad.

Mahogany body + maple neck, no cap, possible refinishing project, and I know where I can buy one for $150. A possibility, just because I know where to get one cheeply.

Ok, it's Schecter's turn.

http://www.schecterguitars.com/spec.asp?id=60#
007 Elite

It's a good candidate, because it's all mahogany with a maple cap, and the scale length is closer to what I like -- 25.5". The rest have the 26.5" scale, or are basswood, or are both.

As far as Dean's, I've seen them from time to time in stores, they're priced similar to Gibsons? I think that at that price, I should go to Warmoth.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
