Raziel2p is a jewel in the rough
Norwegian NGD - a picstory (~10mb, 56k decide for yourselves)

Hi!

I'm not the most active poster here, and probably one of the youngest but I certainly understand the concept of epic picstories. So when I found a blanket in my mailbox about a certain packet, I knew what had to be done! Of course, I knew what it was all about, but you don't! I've waited a week extra for this, but I'm sure it's worth it.

Now, just to give a clue about how it is to live where I live - winter came yesterday.

Today, spring came.

Despite the ice and all that shit, I risked a trip to the post office. What I found, was a box!

Scissors up, because it was closer than the knife.

Fragile? Indeed...

Doesn't seem like it's been treated with all the respect it deserves, though.

Cut cut cut cut

All done! Actually, I'd forgotten to cut at one place, but I was too embarassed about that to take a picture

Oh my... (I wasn't quite sure if it was delivered with a case or not, so quite the relief)

Sweet mother of god I've got a boner

Without all the crap, all doubt is removed...

Time to open! Lock one!

Open!

Lock two!

Open!

Lock three!!

Damn it's a tough one, and that tripod foot is definietely in the way!

Okay, not really, I'm just keeping the suspense up. It's working, though, isn't it?

Delicately now...

Tadaa, I'm so silly.

Okay. Time to get disappointed by a counterfeit - or concrete bricks. Or a gameboy.

WHAT THE FUCK AWWW WHERE'S THE CONCRETE BRICKS?!

It's damn sweet, though... I wanna touch it, but I've got greasy fingers from eating noodles!!!

And if any of you still don't know what this is...

Oh man, look, it's so clean it gleams. Look at all the tiny stars created by the flash <3

Fuck, and I thought the RG1527 has a sweet paintjob. It's too bad this one became kinda blurry But I'm too lazy to take more, yet.

In all its glory.

And that's all for now. I'm so exhausted by the trip to the office (mahogany is damn heavy, man) that I can't play properly right now, and it needs new strings anyways. I played it a little, and the pickups are amazingly clean. I thought the muddyness in the distortion was the amp or pedal, but obviously, it's the pickups in my RG1527. Even more of a reason to change them! With this beast, though, I can turn the gain WAY higher... I wonder if I'll be able to get that messy death metal sound I want (a la Entombed, Carcass). I probably will, and then it'll sound more brain-ripping than ever before! The neck is surprisingly nice, I was a bit suspicious, it being the same neck model as the RG7321, but it certainly doesn't feel that way. It's a bit fatter than the Wizard 3 which I'm used to, but it feels much the same. The paint gives it a different feel, which I don't like that much, but it's not a big issue. The bridge feels great - I was kinda afraid of something that would grind into my hand if I rested it on the bridge, but that's not the case - it feels just as comfortable as resting your hand lightly on a tremolo system.

Now I'm going to have a rest and some food, and I've got a board meeting later tonight, but I promise I'll play around with it a while and take some more detailed pictures of the neck and stuff.

PS: This'll be even more epic when I buy a proper amp in a few months...

Need pics of you playing in the upper regions of the neck all the way up to the 24th fret so I can determine the clearance of the lower cutaway.

Thank you for that picstory, the more I see the Xiphos, the more G.A.S. I get.
