Caparison

Okay so now it's come time to get my next 7 string now that my beloved K7 is gone. Before I got into 7 strings I was just a 6 string guitar player and lusted over the Caparison Dellinger. Only thing was they were so hard to find. Now I notice that there is now a Dellinger available in both a 6 and 7 string version. I also noticed that there is now a Dellinger II not sure if they offer the 7 string but will look it up. I'm thinking of jumpin on one of the 7 string Dellinger's as soon as I get some more money saved up this summer. I'm in the process of selling one of my $5000 plus Alto Saxophones and looks like it will be bought soon. I can use this money to get me the Caparison......it just looks like a great guitar and it's Mahogany....what's not to loveWhat do you guys think?? It'll be a little while before I can of course afford one but it will be worth the wait I believe. I see so many of them for sale on the net now.
I was going to go with the Munky Apex but I just can't get over the quality issues people seem to be having with them.....I hate the overall look of the guitar....and I miss having a trem. Even if it's a locked trem system I love having fine tuners and just the feel of a trem under my palm.

Thanks things just aren't the same without my 7 string.

Ah, the suffering. The sweet suffering.

the dellinger ii is the one thats been converted into a 7 string

the II has 2 humbuckers instead of 1 and 2 singlecoils as does the 7 string

27" KxK Sii-7 for $1499 = EPIC WIN and will blow away anything else in the price range (assuming you don't need a trem). No fine tuners, but nothing else is going to come close from a quality and playability standpoint.

Incoming Pimptastic Purple KxK Singlecut of Doom

Caparisons are bitchin' but that KxK deal is fantastic! You could always snag a 7 OFR or a Kahler and ask rob (or even noodles as he is the KxK sales rep now) if he will put that on. Even with an upcharge it would still be more affordable than the Caparison I believe. Also a hand made neck thru with some pretty rad options availible, while the Caparisons are pretty much stock options only.

I'd get a custom from someone before paying $2.5k for a Caparison.

i own a caparison so i can vouch for the supreme quality of the guitars but id also say that a hand made custom 7 is probably the better option especially when its a lot cheaper.

How is a Caparison more rare than a small custom shop made instrument with more options?

Why would you buy a guitar over another based upon its rarity and appearance when the intent is to play it?

for 5k corey you can get 3 kxks lol, or better just get a full on kxk custom instead of these which are made for fast turn around times.

Thats just your opinion. In my opinion Caparisons are just overpriced guitars from japan with a fugly headstock

I believe if you do this you can't get the deal - you would have to go custom. The whole point of this awesome deal is to have a template and then just bang out guitars with the same options except the staining.
