Damn, that hollowbody looks beautiful!

The only guitar that is missing from my arsenal of axes, is a hollowbody, so it's good to know who to contact when I decide to get one.

That is what I'm told, I'm thinking about heading out there for the Jazz Festival this summer... maybe only for a couple of days; time it so I can catch some of my heroes/faves.

*Yoda Tone* Axe you next want is a Soloway Swan young Padawan

so have you decided which amp is true enough for this guitar when you get it? or are you going to wait til it pwns you in your arms to decide what amp will be worthy of it?

P.S: for shits and giggles , we're putting that bitch through my 5150/vader setup one day when we have a house to ourselves

Concerto412 has a spectacular aura about
beautiful, I've wanted to latch onto a Soloway since first seeing a writeup on a tester Baritone Swan in one of the standard guitar rags.
Really, really like that Limba top!!

Still no clue what I'm going to use for an amp, might have Cliff at Destroy All Guitars get Louis Rousanno from Louis Electric Amps to build an amp specifically around the guitar. Might go with a VHT Deliverance 120 too... who knows.

And for sure we are running it through your 5150, haha.

Yeah, Jim's guitars are amazing and gorgeous, I had a 6 string for under a year and it was the best playing guitar I've owned. Can't wait to get this bad boy in my hands. The 27" scale feels perfect to me and adds so much clarity and bandwidth, I can't imagine using anything else.

Thanks for the comments on the top, I wanted something with a lot of mineral streaking and definately got it.

Not yet, the pickups are just being finished up and then they have to be shipped out to a luthier so he can carve the ebony pickup rings around them to ensure a "perfect fit".

Should be another week or two at the most though, I've got to draw up my control layout for Jim and send it back to him so he can start drilling and doing the final setup.

I think I'm going with wound 7th and 6th strings and 5th to 1st in flatwounds. Probably 11 gauge, keep my fingers crossed the tension won't be too much on the 27" scale.

I'll be sure to post an update the minute I get pictures though! Pictures of the custom pickups will probably be coming very soon!
