I was going to just get a baritone instead of a 7 string after the return of my Carvin. So I was looking at the Schecter Blackjack.

But then I figured, why not get the 7 string, since it's also 26.5" scale, and has the bonus string? So I did.

I ordered one of these, which will be here the first week of April:

And one of these:

3 guesses what the latter two are for.

Yeah, it should theoretically be a poor man's PDI-03, though with the added benefit of using them separately. If the PDI-03 was an attenuator and a DI, then I would have saved up a bit more to get that. But since it's either a load box or full blast, I figured this is a good way to go.

The MotherLoad is an attenuator and DI, but I haven't heard any clips, whereas I have with the Hot Plate/PDI-09 setup (with 3 different amps).

According to my buddy (who's shop I ordered it from) none of the C7's will be at Schecter USA until that first week. So I could have gotten a white one. But I thought the white one looked like egg nog, so I passed.

Plus I've always really dug the ESP Eclipse in vintage black with the aged binding, so I figured I'd like this.
