So, I finally got my EBMM JP7 in mystic dream
with everything except the inlays a few days ago, and it is awsome, and perfect for me . I would put some pics up cause you guys dont believe without seeing but every pic i take of it, come out with it looking green, and never the purple shades, which i love( how do i fix this?)Now, a question or 2 or 10, 1) When i fret above the 12th fret or above, on the low B, as i get higher the string hits the magnet "O" on the pickup and i cant hear the note, how would i fix this? 2) My volume knob and tone knob feel like thy turn too easily, while the piezo knob seems like it gives a little too much resistance, is this normal? 3) How can anyone not like this guitar? i guess it was only 3! |

Make sure you are taking the pictures in a well-lit (preferably natural sunlight IMHO) area and take the shots at angles. If you shoot it dead on it will most likely come out either all green or green and just a tiny bit of purple on the beveled-out parts. Check out my previous picstory for reference if that helps.
![]() http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/sev...-soup-you.html Also if you're using flash, don't! Using flash puts too much white at the paint and it will reflect back green. Check out the two shots of the back of the guitar I took, purple without flash (but with decent sunlight) and green with the flash left on. ![]() |

Congrat's on the guitar.
![]() I'd just lower the pickup into the cavity a little bit.

![]() Now that that's out of the way 1) lower the pickup in question on the bass side using the screw it's attached to the body with 2) the piezo volume knob may be rubbing the body... can't remember if these are slip on or screw held... if screw held loosen the screw on the piezo volume knob and raise the knob a little and retighten the screw, if not just gently work a pick under the edge of the piezo volume knob and push it up a little 3) owned one, wasn't hugely impressed... it's another basswood body rosewood boarded seven that sells for $2k+ the neck profile on them is awesome though, and the finishes are amazing

1.) Send the guitar to me and I'll give it the Super-Sweet Drew Peterson Setup over the span of, oh, six or eight months.
2.) Probably fine. 3.) I don't know, having never played one, but I'll attempt to answer while doing #1.
