I would've liked EMG-81-7's on my DC727, but the stock pick-ups sound pretty damn nice too.

I was a bit worried about slipping and catching the picup of the wire, but it wasn't a problem in the end. I just stuck a grinding wheel on and went for it. I didn't have to use much pressure at all. In fact I found it was more controlable using a very light amount of pressure.

I liked my Carvin 7, and only really got rid of it because my custom 7 was about to arrive. Now 7 months later, I still don't have my custom. I put a PAF7 and TZ7 in my Carvin, and it wasn't a big deal. However, I was very underwhelmed by that pickup combo in the alder body with maple neck combo. If I had another I'd definitely go with Bartolinis.

I've owned 2 Carvins, one was a Carvin v220 that I bought used for 300$, the other was a D127 with a Wilkinson, both were absolutely killer. I ended p getting rid of DC to get my first 7 (m207), but I would love to get a 7 equivalent of the DC.

I just wish they didn't round the body sides.

i have a DC727 right now and it's killer. the only thing i don't like about it is the floyd rose on there. i may end up selling it because of that. but i would definately get another carvin if i sold off that one.
