String gauge sets?
I'm lookin to bump my string gauge up from 10s to 11s. Problem is most sets I've found are 11 to 58, was hoping for 60 or higher for the low B. I really don't want to have to order a single string with 6'er set, also I've been using D'Addarios since I got my 1st 7 in 96'( I tried Ernie balls once and hated them.)
Any suggestions on brands? (I play a UV with an EVO7 in the bridge) I'm thinking of buying one of all the sets i can find and trying them for myself but that can get expensive and take time to find the right ones. Any input in appreciated.
So much gear, so little cash ...

You;re going to have to get a set of .011s and buy a single seventh string.
JustStrings.com is a great place to find big old strings.

the only strings i can think of that come close to the gauges you want are these...
Serious Guitar Strings! - Knucklehead Guitar Strings & More Short Bus set .11 .15 .18 .28 .38 .52 .62 can't say i've heard anything positive about these strings though . honestly, your best bet is just to buy a single low B, or put together your own custom set from Juststrings.com. you can get D'Addarios in just about any guage you want there. |

Are you looking to go from 10s to 11s because you want more tension on the high end or the low end? The reason I say that is those sets of 11 gauge strings have tension all over the place, very unbalanced.
You may want to look into a set like: 10-13-17-26-34-46-60 or 10-14-18-26-36-48-64, something like that. IMO the best sounding strings in the world are Elixir NanoWebs. I personally use their 6-string sets and then get a .060 or .065 gauge NanoWeb bass string for the 7th. They're expensive but due to their protective coating they sound/feel fresh for about 6-8 months. I too recommend JustStrings.com |

Watch juststrings.com
Youll buy something and then get an email a day later saying it might be out of stock. Apparently they dont tell you its out of stock on the website. Its happened to me i think 7 times in 2 months and i was forced to buy shit i didnt want. But still i do recommend them |

I've been going to them for years and that rarely happens to me, and when it does they ship the rest of the set maybe 2 business days later. It's never been a big deal on my end.

Umm... I pretty much want increased tension across the whole guitar. I've been playing alot more lead/harmony stuff with my new project and the strings are starting to feel to loose and floppy. I want more bite and fight from the high strings and more beef in the low end. (Does that make sense?) |

Hey Im just curious I notice 2 guys suggested 10 13 17 26 34 46
A standard 10 set comes with a 36 doesnt it ? does changing to a 34 help the overall tension off the guitar? |
