I'm sure the Xiphos is a great guitar, even if the body shape ain't for me (how it looks, how it feels).
Now, if you want a guitar that nobody else will have and fitted to your own personal desires, that's an easy answer.

i'm still gunning for an Agile interceptor for my second 7, you can actually customize. you get a xiphos 7......you end up with a xiphos 7 LOL.

you want a bridge only humbucker pup with just volume control, bam you got it, you want a maple board, bam you got it, you want a different paint job, bam you got it.

if you get a xiphos 7 you get what they give you and like it.

i'll stick with the superstrat design cus i know it works for me, i love the feel and contour to my body, pointy shit never worked for me.

and i'm getting a customized Agile 7 too, woot

I'm with Zim It's actually very refreshing not having to fuck with a trem! I have several guitars with trems and after changing strings on this one and going between 3 different tunings in less than an hour I say I'll never buy another guitar with a trem. I never use the damn things anyway, I don't know why I always insisted on buying guitars with them. Both options are good ones but with 17 years under by belt and having owned around 20 guitars I can say I've never played a guitar that sounds and plays as good as the Xiphos! I've never played an Agile for comparison but I can assure you the Xiphos is a good option

Sure they're fun and you can do some cool things with them, but they're hardly necessary for 99% of songs. The notion that "there's no reason whatsoever" for a guitar to not have a trem is childish. Especially since they'd have an Edge III in there if it had one, which everyone says sucks.

Now, I'm all for the Original Floyd Rose and stuff like that, I like 'em, but again - it shouldn't be a deal breaker
Er... I never said it was a deal breaker. I think in my humble opinion (if I may be so bold to express it, oh mighty and gratious lord zimbloth) that there is no reason for it not to have a trem. I personally don't find trems difficult to set up and I think the lower the profile of the neck/strings the better the feel in my humble opinion. Also, my liege, I find the tuning stability on trems are far superior to that of a stop tail.

hehe indeed for you would be better without, but there are people out there like my self that want floating bridge only because of what you can do with them.

Sepultorture is a jewel in the rough
but really the point is is that, trem or not, the Agile guitars can be customized and for a fantastic price to anything that you'd like.

if you get the xiphos 7 you get one kind of bridge, that be it.

i'd rather take some customizability over getting what you get, even if it's a wee bit cheaper than by a couple hundred bucks. if we were talking a grand or more yeah

this is what 200-300 bucks difference.

i vote Agile all the way
