sandwichamwin is on a distinguished road
They're two totally different guitars.

The Ibanez has a basswood body, very average pickups, very thin maple neck, 25.5" scale. However, you have many more options for pickup changes.

The Schecter is all mahogany, high quality pickups (if you like the EMG tone), a much beefier neck, longer scale 26.5", and most important of all, it looks extra brutal.

They both have their pros and cons. I have a Hellraiser and a 7620 and they're both great guitars and both very well made. I'm a long time ibanez player so i've grown to love their necks, however after recently purchasing the hellraiser, i quickly fell in love with that too.

Have a bash on both, you won't be disappointed either way. And if in doubt, buy both!

These are the most recent ones:

I have no idea why the low B looks blue/orangey at the bridge.

Taken after I installed the Bare Knuckles. I really need to clean her up and take some new photos.

As for which guitar you should buy, play them both and get the one you like more! I'm really gassing for a Schecter right now, I would love to get a Loomis.

My biased opinion is to go for the 1527. Great guitar. Really though, they are both fantastic guitars, it is just a matter of what you want in a guitar. I am sure no matter what you get, you will be happy. Also, if you hang out on this site to much, you will probably end up with both them or convince yourself you need both of them. So my advice is buy the the 1527, then get rid of your internet.

Well anyways, here is my baby. I have since installed a evolution in the bridge and paf in the neck. Sounds awesome!! I think this is the most accurate color representation of the new ones. This is the shade of blue that my guitar looks 99% of them time. (kinna dark, dark blue with minimal sparkles)

What a strange intonation pattern

Anyway my vote goes for RG1527 but if an S7 were an option I would go for that. Mahogany tone w/ Ibanez playability. I would take a pic of mine but I only have a phone.
