I have enough reverse headstocks these days. Agile Interceptor and M-302. I figured I would change it up. Plus the ESP Horizon inline headstock is pwnage IMO. But no sense dwelling on it. It's not gonna happen. *sigh*

Just to nitpick a bit...

Historically, the Horizon was always carved top with a softer 3+3 or (4+3) headstock. The Mirage (or M series) had flat-top bodies with the pointy headstock. And pointy headstock on carved-top body was always MH.

But it seems that like Ibanez, ESP has buggered up their own naming system.

No kidding there. Horizon, MH, Mirage. It all gets blurred together within the last 5 years. I just get really pissed at ESP for their lack of 7 offerings. They offer just as many 8 string models as they offer 7 string models. WTF is with that? And they're 7 string models are all SC models. It disappoints me to no end. I love that company's 6 stringers to death and wish I could do so with their 7s. But we see where that's gone...

I kind of want pretty bad...

Too bad I can only find it on the ESP Japanese site. Bah

I hate to say this (and sound like someone's dad), but people in college, working part-time jobs shouldn't be buying $2000+ guitars. Sometimes all the GAS talk on this board leads to gear envy. In some ways, we egg each other on, but seriously, do you really need a custom guitar at this stage in your life?

Keep your money for the basics like food, shelter, clothing, tuition and books. You'll have plenty of opportunities to buy expensive guitars later.

Hell, i've got a really good job that i've been doing for nearly 15 years, and even i can't justify spending $2k on a custom guitar.

Priorities!

I will not divulge what i paid for my JP7, but it was not $2k. And to be honest, i couldn't really afford it at the time, but i also couldn't afford to pass it up at the price i got it for.
