Ok what the hell should I do......

I still cant decide on what 7 I want!!!!

I dont like Schecters cause of the thicker necks and the 26.5 scale.

The Agiles arnt coming with an ebony board

I dont like the Ibanez UV/1527/7620s cause I dont want a trem
Nor do I want a 76217321 Ive had 2 7621s and 1 7321 and the necks all went to shit in a short time and I just wasnt happy with them overall.

But the only other company I know of that will do a 7 with an ebony board (which I really want for my 7) and the specs I have listed below for under $1000.00 is Carvin and I have 2 Carvins now and although I do like them alot! I dont want another one at the moment.

So I looked into a Warmoth 7 with the following specs

Ebony board (that is a must for this guitar!)

No inlays just on the board just on the top

routed for 2 EMG 81-7s (that I have had sitting around since EMG released them!)

No pickguard rear cavity for electronics

Dunlop 6100 frets

Schaller locking tuners

Fixed bridge with graphite saddles and graphite nut

White finish (Im going for a Vai's Jem type thing)

Gold hardware

1 volume

3 way pickup toggle

routed 2 battery case for 2 nine volts instead of one.

Bolt on neck

tung oiled birdsye maple neck

The body style that Warmoth uses is a PRS style so that could be pretty cool I guess as long as the upper fret access is unrestriected.

I calculated the total cost and it came to about $1050.00 Not too bad I guess I wanted to keep it under $1000.00.

Any other builders or already made guitars I should look into?

I think you care WAAAY too much about looks... and... your looking for a guitar that will make you play well... you can't get one that does that... You have to practice, adjust accordingly, and the guitar can only compliment or make your playing easier. Getting an uber-perfect guitar isn't going to give you the ability to instantaneously bust out sweeping arepeggios sections at an uber 10000000000bpm at 128th notes (easy for me!)...

Easy for you, eh? I'll believe it when I see it.

I also don't see Nick1 saying anything like "I want a guitar that will make me play well." You are putting words in his mouth. in his mouth!!

I think you got me all wrong man!

Looks are the last thing I care about. Really.
Not all the specs I listed are for cosmetic reasons. Like the graphite saddles and nut and the locking tuners or the tung oiled neck. Those arnt there for looks! The only cosmetic spec I had was white finish and gold hardware.

I just want a 7 string with an ebony fretboard and I want to put in my EMGs that I got sitting around thats it. I just cant find a 7 I like and I was just asking what people thought of my warmoth idea.

I could play fine on anything but Im not going to spend $1000+ on a 7 that I dont really like. WTF sense would that make?

Clearly... you have no sense of humor today... that's like 533333333nps or something like that.... lol...

With those specs for under $1000 is damn hard... I posted before I read the bottom, lol, my bad, I'm sorry... but... if complete custom guitars aren't cheap.

I have a warmoth with that body style. Ebony board/Maple neck and top/Limba body. I got the stainless frets though. http://www.drezdin.com/warmoth.html Upper fret access is fine. It is a little better on the other body style. I did reshape the heel on mine a bit. Just smoothed out the edge a little.

Nice looking guitar. The body and trem isn't exactly my style, but a cool guitar, nonetheless. I really like the fretboard. Very nice.

Keep in mind that with Warmoth's 7-string neck specs, your scale length options are limited to 25" (PRS scale) or 28 5/8" scale (like 25.5" scale with two extra frets below the nut).
