EB/MM switched from the custom Steve's Special's to DS7's about 1 or 2 years after releasing the JP model if I remember correctly.

No shit? Me too. I've lusted after this exact (same options, same finish) guitar for so long. besides my idea for a custom, and likely a BFR JP (but fuck... that's expensive), this is the only guitar I've ever really "gassed" for.

Oddly yes it is. I love the red pearl burst option and hate the shield inlays. This guitar is damn near perfect.

hey man i order a new JP6 two months back and it still hasnt come. my other JP6 was in stock already, how long did it take for you to get yours

I love this guitar so much =D

I can get some real Petrucci tones through the Rectoverb. I just had Tung Sols put in it and it sounds better than ever, like a new amp almost.

The guitar took 6 months for me to get it. I ordered it last August and received it two weeks after Christmas.

Also I'd like to add... I never thought I'd be comfortable enough with the idea to say this and I was really unsure until I was jamming tonight, but I think I could use only 7s as my main guitars (aside from my Strat, so sort of

) and be happy and comfortable doing so. I just love this guitar so much...
