So i am getting my first custom shop done

I know a guy in California named Ron that used to work at LACS. He is building me a PRS type body style seven string with a wizard neck( playability that is) with a similar PRS headstock.

I opted for a see thru black quilted maple top and mahogany body with a neck thru mahogany neck with a satin finish on it, black hardware, curly maple binding,custom green heart abolone inlays, with an ebony board. As far as pups i am undecided. I really like the PRS body shape I almost bought the Caparison that looks similar but decided not too. Did I also mention virtually no heel.

The tuners are going to be sperzel's I love those. And did I forget to mention 27 FRETS.

I have wanted a complete custom job, so this time I went all out. Any other suggestions for the guitar I have opted for dimarzio pups, I can't afford lundgren's or the barknuckles i have spent a shitload on this guitar, I will add those later though

Where would yuo go with the pups as far as type, I hated the evo7 in the bridge. I think i am going to go with the x2n7 in the bridge for now, and a air norton or similar in the neck

He just went and selected the wood, it is going to be a 3-5 month process lol he is starting the build tuesday it took me a few weeks to sort out what i wanted.

Sorry about the evo's bro i just thought they were too bright for me

X2N should soud sufficiently brutal in there. I personally wouldn't run the AN in mahogany but the maple and ebony might be enough to add just the right amount of snap to it. (its a fairly dark pickup) I'm not too fond of most 7 string neck pickups though. Ive heard some good results with the Evo as a neck pickup matched with the X2N, maybe a Blaze?

isn´t the x2n pickups REALLY REALLY BRIGHT? :P

I had an evo in one of my s7420's I thought it sounded too thin and bright for death metal, for rock and clean sounding stuff it killed.( tone is subjective)

I have a x2n7 in a schecter 007 Elite and it kills in it. i thought about putting an evo in the neck just to see what it sounded like. What about a d sonic or a blaze in the neck position
