Post If you were springing for an OFR7...

So if you were going to replace the LFR on this guitar, would you go with an all black ORF7 or the chrome with black bits? I only ask because I find the all black variant just inherently a bit cheap looking....

All black. It doesn't look cheap in person.

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.

While I'm always going to prefer the LoPro 7, one of the guitars I'm doing at work is a TRSII swap with an OFR in black, and three things pop to mind

a) that thing could survive a nuclear fallout. Its fucking indestructible!
b) It doesn't look cheap at all.
c) Its one hell of a piece of nice engineering. Art, almost...

Interesting... it must just be the LFR looks that awful (because it really does look cheap in person). It's tough to photograph it in all black, I'll give you that.

I think the real question should be, "Can I actually find a black OFR7 or the chrome one?" They're pretty hard to find these days... Dave got lucky and snagged one on eBay but even Floyd Rose direct didn't have them in stock. Damn you Schecter....

Chrome isn't too bad to find... black is almost impossible since Schecter started buying them in quantity. I'm actually pondering changing the hardware to chrome on my Interceptor Pro 27 if I decide to swap the trem, just because they're easier to find.

Betting you get an email saying they didn't have them in stock. Also, what did you select for the nut width, since the ones they list for the 7s are all 6 string nut widths?

Incoming Pimptastic Purple KxK Singlecut of Doom
Orange 2x12 - Damn am I colorful

I told them I don't care about the nut width (I won't be using the nut, so I could care less). You may be right about them not having any, we'll see.

Did you order by phone then? Because if they have them in stock that's awesome

Just curious because the web form makes you select a nut width
