OMFG I NEED HELP DECIDING!! LOOMIS OR INTERCEPTOR PRO 27???

Okay as some of you may know, I ordered a Loomis a while back from Musician's Friend...lo and behold, it's backordered and there's no telling when I'm gonna get it

I'm in desperate need of a seven string so after doing some looking around I noticed the Agile Interceptor Pro 27 had some pretty good reviews...now they both come stock with EMG 707s, but I already ordered some Seymour Duncan PII Blackouts to swap with the Loomis and those should be arriving any day now. Now I know the Loomis is the better guitar, but should I cancel my order and go ahead and get the cheaper Interceptor? I need opinions and I need them fast before I pull out my hair

Please help!

I don't think it will be long until the blue and black 727s with maple fb ones are available for sale. From all the talk around here in the recent past, it seemed as if they'll be available soon. Never saw an estimated date though.

I'm in the same dilemma as you, people here says the quality on both are very similar, but the Agile I had back in the day was nowhere near in quality as my Hellraiser. I suppose they've improved the quality, but it still keeps me away.

Also, The Loomis has an Original floyd and the agile has a licensed one

I dunno why they won't honestly. They have their own policies. Customs over there might be really bad. Might make things really tough.

Yo, here is what I suggest.

Zimbloth, our fellow SS.orger, might get a deal with Schecter.

If he gets a deal with Schecter, you're in.

Contact DGCL and tell him that you are a soldier in Iraq. If he wants the payment first, then pay him ASAP. Thats what I would do.

i remember reading about him starting the business...when is that all supposed to be said and done? how good is DGCL...i've been looking at their website...

DCGL is fantastic. Jason is the man! I bought my Schecter Hellraiser 007 prototype from him and it was a great transaction. Something every instrument purchase should be. I got the case and he threw in a TON of extra free stuff. Pics, a shirt, strings, catalogs, etc. He even has your guitar professionally setup to your preference before it's shipped out!

seriously??that sounds too good to be true :P how do you go about telling him how you want it set up? how fast do the deliveries get where they need to be, etc? sorry for all the questions...

It's all good dude. I'm happy to help! (Especially since you're a solider)

I ordered over the phone, so he asked me how I'd like it setup. I assume if you're keeping this a strictly online purchase, then you need to tell him in an email or notes on the order. Specify string gauge, tuning, action height [they typically put the action as low as possible without buzzing], etc.

The deliveries are typically very speedy. Orders will go out usually the day after it is placed and then it's up to FedEx or UPS (I think he used FedEx for my order) to get that to you. His store is in Colorado, and it took just 3 days to get to me in Delaware. So it's generally pretty fast.
