I would love to have one but I thought the originals were overpriced. I'm sure they play like mother fuckers but I could NEVER swing that kind of cash for one guitar.

Paying that much for a guitar will get you divorced really quick, unless you get her a monster diamond first!!! Those are really nice and they play like a dream!

Jerry Cantrell is the man!

yessir i have, and i can bet they probably don't feel or play like BFRs, or even a reg JPMM. plus i've always thought the VH guitars looked like shit.

Whatever you do, don't go over to the Music Man forums and tell them that, or you'll get Sterling Ball's knickers in a not.

But apparently they sound godlike.
Hehe yeah no shit, I still can't access the forums using the account I asked about the tops with because they're running the Annoyance mod to make the forum look like it's always too busy.

Bottom line these are stupid fucking expensive when you can have something built by somebody like Mike Sherman for ~1/2 the price built to your exact specifications

JP7s play really, really, really well but the tone is just not there.. the BFRs probably sound a lot better though.

I have a BFR JP6. Ok, well firstly...i think my top/finish looks godly in person! Any lighter-darker and it would have been ruined. But, i think the ruby burst is PERFECT!

The tone is amazing, perfect for leads...really creamy and organic. Piezo is also brilliant! My only problem is the d-sonic is just a bit too muddy for my likeing. When i use the BFR i have to adjust my amps EQ accordingly.

But, besides me not liking the bridge pickup...i LOVE the guitar!

I didnt spend $4000 on the guitar, but can you honestly put a price on the creativeness that a good guitar will inspire.

My thoughts exactly. From what I have read, Carvin is also top notch in terms of quality of workmanship. I am sure the BFRs are excellent guitars, but I really doubt they justify that price tag.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

they do....

they just do.

The neck alone jsutifies the price tag. The fret wire helps, the exotic wood choices help, the bridge helps, the looks help...its so worth it!
