Recommend me some music that doesn't include guitar..

Okay, all this shred stuff is really getting tiring, and boring, because I've been listening to it to death, and I think it's time for a music change. Recommend me some music that includes absolutely no guitars

Wow, I just realized I posted this in the Sevenstrings forum..completely unintentional. Move pweeaaase.

yessss. I second that. Bela Fleck is the SHIT. Get "Live Art". It's the best two-disc album of any kind i've ever bought. So fucking great

Lately i've been listening to a lot of The Streets - a British rap act that i think is absolutely fantastic. Can't say there's NO guitar in it, but it's not guitar-centric.
i was gonna start spouting off artists, but i haven't a clue what kind of music you LIKE

"I have a koala bear infestation in my apartment. It's the cutest infestation ever. Way better than cockroaches..."

Bach, Bartok, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Mahler, Mozart, Paganini, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, Vivaldi.

Bizet, Puccini, Orff, Mozart, Wagner.

Aesop Rock, Brotha Lynch Hung, Common, Dead Prez, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Lil' Jon, Ludacris, mc chris, Nas, Outkast, Rakim, Talib Kweli, X-Raided, 2pac.

Fatboy Slim. I'm sure other people who are more knowledgeable about techno/electronica/dance/whatever can help you more there.

Michael Jackson. Well, EVH played some stuff for him, obviously, but whatever. Prince. Yeah, he's a great guitarist (awesome, actually) but his guitaring isn't exactly the point. Stevie Wonder. Mmmm.

Lot's of Jazz stuff with no guitar in it either, but I'm pretty much a pleb when it comes to non Shawn Lane jazz, for the most part.

There are lots of great videogame soundtracks, too. The Final Fantasy ones spring to mind.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

xoi will become famous soon enough
although there is guitar, i find bands like 65 days of static and sound tribe sector 9 refreshing when i've been listening to heavily guitar-based tunes for a while.
