![]() | Bare Knuckle pickups I know this should be in the pickup section but it seems kinda slow over there. I want to order a bridge pickup for a mahagony body guitar from Bare Knuckles. Here is what i am looking for in tone. -Tight Bass response for quick triplet stuff (tuned to drop A) -Enough mids to cut (playing in 2 guitar live situation) -No harsh highs , smooth top end -Harmoicly Rich for leads -Clarity, no mush -Balls I have had a few different suggestions and I am a little confused now. Ceramic Warpig, Painkiller, Nailbomb, Miracle Man. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I had to pick pups for a mahogany body guitar aswell, man it was harder than picking all the other guitar options. Ceramic warpigs would tick the tight bass, mids, rich marmonic and fucking balls box, but may suffer on cleans against say something like he Nailbomb. The Nailbomb is vary natural and organic sounding, great for cleans aswell i hear, in terms of tight response for quick triplet stuff, and cutting mids, i'm not sure it'd be as good as the ceramic warpig, especially in complimenting a mahogany body...you could think about a modded Nailbomb though? I can't really comment on the Painkiller or Miracel Man however, sorry. ____________________________________________ ...Into the orchard I walk peering way past the gate Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait - Harvest |

But the safest bet would be the ceramic Warpig as far as clarity and balls go. _________________________ "I am so omniscient, if there was to be two omnisciences, I would be both!" - ZTO My Soundclick Page |

![]() | Well what I get from some others is that the Bass on the Pig isnt that tight. That the Painkiller and the Miraclemans bass is Tight. Im not that concerned with cleans, I could always switch to the bridge pickup for cleans. I am more concerned with a great rythem and lead sound in a bridge pickup. Tight bass, clarity and no harsh highs. A nice singing lead, with mids |

Might be a better place to start as he knows about ALL his pickups and most guys on here have only played with 1 or 2 at the most, if they've ever tried them at all. Tim is pretty good at responding quickly. ![]() |
