the extra two inches are spread out ove the whole fret board so the frets on the 27" would be bigger =) smokey the bear is way more intense in person | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you capo a 27" scale length guitar at the first fret it is about the same as playing a 25.5" scale guitar with 23 frets. It's not exactly the same but it is awfully close. But like that guy said, when you are playing normally the fret spacing is wider and can make for some odd stretches at first when playing down low but you can adapt. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Both Uber Mega and that guy are wrong - the original post was totally correct. If a 25.5" scale length is shorter, how can the 2nd fret, which is smaller spaced than the 1st fret, be equal to the biggest fret interval on a longer scale length instrument? ![]() And that guy, you've missed the poit of what we are saying. A 27" scale neck has all the same intervals between the frets, but all the frets on the 25.5 move up one position. So the 2nd fret becomes the 3rd on a 27" baritone. 27" and 28.625" are the only scales lengths that fit so exactly. |
