That's kinda like when you buy a Carvin and have to route it out for pickups, except more wood has to be routed and it's a lot more expensive (not to mention your bridge options at that point are limited). A lot of people who are trem-only guys would avoid buying it if that's the case, same as with some people hating Carvin guitars because of that.

Glenn was absolutely a Jackson endorser before joining Megadeth... he and I are in the same catalogs.

Lets just hope not. Cause Dean are pretty crappy these days. The Ibanez would be a much better guitar, i think chris wont sell out hes better than that.

Origanally posted by Variant - Pulled from the river Styx, the mighty black oar of doom in hand! I certainly would not call this particular guitar an "axe" more like a club. Noodles' KxK would run through an emo, spilling his insides for a quick death, this blunt mace would bludgeon the unfortunate effeminate soul, breaking bones, and causing internal bleeding to lead only to a slow, painful death

I used to hate Deans in general, however, I'm ashamed to say, I thought the Dean V I played today was pretty good.......

I still stand by the fact that when people play Dean, bad stuff happens:

1. Dimebag - RIP
2. Mustaine - Need I say more?
3 Trivium - The Crusade?!??!
4. Rusty Cooley - Hes a great player, and should be far more successful than he currently is.

1. His lady and brother are milkin that pony too ... it ain all Dean
2. Considering Dean is an endorsement whore company what exactly do you mean?
3. Every company has lame sig lines
4. Deans holding Cooley back?

Dean are good guitars, people just bitch about them cuz they got big rapidly, people hate success for some reason

As for the Ibanez sig ... I think guitar conpanies have TOO MANY sigs ... we need more standard models with cool features without a name on the headstock people spend too much time caring what what a bigshot plays and not enough time playing

I agree, while I'm not a Dean fan, nor big into the finish, the RC7 is a sick, sick guitar. He's a far better player to do a sig off of becuase of his keen desire for improvment in ergonomics and that's fucking awesome in my opinion. So much better than 99% of your guys that simply say, stick a two headed dragon on it and a ninja farting blue fire and make it my sig.

The models Dean did for Dallas and Karl from Nile are stellar as well. I can't really fault the company that much given what they're capable of. At least they're not Gibson or Fender after all.

damnit man...calling me out in front of the guys like that

makes sense though, and I read on the Dean forum that Glenn had dean make him an exact replica of his old Model 5/6 (can't remember which)
