Hey Dave

Yes I still got the cooley model. it's a keeper for sure. I'm holding it right now best guitar that I had. It suits me perfect and sounds great. You couldn't ask for more.

You wanted a Caparison so I though that it will be natural that You will decide for Danos offer. I'm just sorry that I missed my chance then.

3,5k is way too much (for me). add to that shipping and insurance. 22% Vat and 3,7% custom fees in Poland and we've got way over 4,5k

You can buy a lot of guitars for that. Order full custom ESP etc

To be honest Nik,althought the Dino is one awesome guitar i think the Cooley is probably a far more useable guitar and you got a lot more for your money with it than you would have got with the Dino.
The Dino is a great guitar if you can afford to have it to use for just one sound but it just wasn't a versatile guitar, in any way.
Cheers man!

I'd rather buy off nikt too, but that's because he WILL sell me his RC7.

Dino likes Basswood? With his downtuning I'd think he would LOVE Mahogany..

He doesn't detune actually - think he plays in B with a .52 (note his guitars are all 27"). Also tone wood doesn't make a noticeable impact on tone when you are using active pickups. Basswood is light too - if you ever pickup a mahogany RG (k7) vs a basswood RG (RG7620) the weight difference is definitely there.

Yeah, the only mahogany gutiar he has is his new Xiphos, IIRC. And as far as weight difference, im gonna have to disagree with you bro. My 1077XL weighs more than my Mahogany/Maple 8527, so its just a matter of the particular density of the wood they use at the time. Just like there's shitty sounding mahogany, and great sounding mahogany.

Me personally, i prefer to use Basswood to detune because of its LACK of bass that keeps my signal pretty clear. i tried my 8527 in A standard with a 707 AND an 81-7 in the bridge, and neither one of those combinations had the clarity of my 1077 with a 707. But this is all just my opinion...

Looking for an Ibanez RG970XL
