there is one guy here that has this guitar. I cant remember who though. but Im guessing you already know where to buy it. if not go hereDean Razorback 7 Seven String Electric Guitar with Case - Black with Yellow Bevels at AmericanMusical.com it has a 25.5" scale EMG 707 pick ups 24 frets and comes with a molded hardshell case. Now if you knew that already im sorry but as for playing it no I haven't played it yet.

Zimbloth had one, or two actually. They both got damaged in shipping and had to be returned. The synopses was that they're great guitars, but that Dean's cases/packing suck so they tend to get damaged in shipping and he'll never buy anything from Dean again.

Incoming Pimptastic Purple KxK Singlecut of Doom
Orange 2x12 - Damn am I colorful

That seems to be the norm when it comes to Dean. I just bought one that took some very minor headstock damage during shipping from a dealer in Florida. He marked the price down so far that it made it impossible for me to say no. So hopefully he packs it better than Dean does. I will post some pics in a week or so when I actually get the guitar.

Thanks everyone for the info.

Shooter has a spectacular aura about
Did Dimebag every actually use a seven? I'm not a huge Pantera fan, but I do have a couple albums and I don't think I ever heard a 7. If he actually did use one at one point, I'd like to know what song!

If you're out there and you're cute, maybe you're beautiful, I just wanna tell you something... there's more of us ugly m*ther f*ckers then you are.

I think he used the 6 string only. the Razorback 7 came out early last year. Alex Sklonik or how ever his last name is, I think helped make it.

No, he didn't. He also didn't use EMGs either (or any active pickups). He used custom Bill Lawrence passive pickups. This is basically just the body shape that Dimebag designed done with 7 strings. It's not really his signature guitar or anything (he's dead, so he couldn't really have a signature guitar). Many of the guitars associated with Dimebag are ones that he designed and not really his "signature."

Huh? Alex Skolnik, the ex-lead guitarist for Testament and current jazz guitarist, worked for Dean to work on a seven-string version of the Razorback when he doesn't even play seven-strings, plays mainly jazz, and does not play Deans?

That sounds pretty damn unlikely to me.

I wonder who it may be, but I'm almost 100% sure it wasn't Skolnik. He doesn't play Deans or seven-strings; he doesn't even really play metal anymore (although he has been touring with Testament again recently); and, as far as I know, he didn't know Dimebag personally (although I know that Testament toured with Pantera once or twice). It would be like Jimmy Page helping make a seven-string Ibanez based off of a guitar played by Steve Vai. It's just ridiculous.
