SC-207 Looking For advice

Hi guys

I looking for another 7 mainly as a backup, and im looking at the LTD SC-207, is it any good?? does somone have picst that can increase my GAS, yeah sure i can hear the same thing again.

"Buy a used 7620, get one of ebay, get an Agile" yeah that would be cool if only i were in the US, Mexico is just horrible in that matter, taxes, crappy el cheapo guitars etc.

Ive been looking in all the stores and only have found
SC-207 aprox 450 USD
APEX2 aprox 700 USD (ugliest color ive seen in a guitar, and the inlay looks like was made for a 5 yer old kid)
RG1527 aprox 1300 USD, and ive played that for a while in the store and at a friends house and wasnt impressed.

So please feel free to fuel the GAS.

By the way someone told me that from the us you can send a guitar as a gift so i have not to pay taxes, is that true?? can anyone clarify on that ?

Thanks

at least im free to die

I'd totally hit an SC-207 as a backup guitar.

I bought the SC207 as a backup gutar. But when I compared it to my Jackson COW7, I liked the SC207 more.

It's an incredibly good guitar for the money. I'd really suggest one. Look for one of the threads I've made callled 'NGD for me ' it should be on the second or third page of this section.

Can you please post or email me detailed pics especially of the neck joint?? doesnt the pick up interfere with your picking ?? those are my main concerns about it.

Can you explain why its illegal i dont want any troubles? im not planning to make a profit out of it, but if you country charges you for some things up to 200% in taxes im sure you would be interested.

What is illegal and what is not illegal? One has to consider that

When the guy marks it as gift, you only pay the paper work, that might be something like 15 to 20 dollars.

The neck joint is a 4 bolt on neck which is slightly angled to allow better access to the higher frets. You don't feel the heel at all when playing.

The middle pickup doesn't get in the way for me. Unless you'd an incredibly aggressive player it won't affect you. It sounds great too. I'll post some more pictures of the neck joint later today.

Did you guys happen to notice that they changed the SC-207 for 08? It no longer has normal passive pickups in it. Some kind of cheap EMG's in it. So the new ones have the EMG pickup routing in them. Just wanted to point that out.
