not sure i see the competition here.. get the C7.

mahogany body, 26.5 scale for better tension (low B is really clear), 24 frets, good pickups stock, neck is comfy (im also from the thicker-neck-on-6's camp - my main 6 is a gibson LP studio).

If you were going to get an RG7, i'd step up from the 7321 unless the budget didnt allow it.

3 cheers for free gear!

The Schecter Hellraiser pwns the RG7321 in this case.

Though overall, I agree with Stitch.

The fact that its a Schecter is precisely the reason it fails! Nice specs, great pickups, stupid neck dimensions and company name.

Exactly what I was thinking. The Hellraiser is a nicer instrument in this case.

That said, if it wasn't for the fact that I can buy an RG1527 and get a hardcase and goodies for the price of an HR over here I wouldn't hate Schecter so much.

When it comes to sixers I'm more of the thick neck kinda guy, I have two Artcore thinline hollowbodies, but I dunno... I think I'll have to play 'em a couple of dozen more times before I can tell.
All in all the curiosity is giving way for full-on lust, that low B made a rumbly in my tumbly that I'll not so soon forget.

Sound-wise, couldn't really tell thanks to the half dozen kids cranking the MGs and bringing teh bro0o0talz... next time I'm heading to the POD display, where headphones reign supreme...
I played both and thought the Hellraiser ripped. Those 707's really sound brutal in the all mahogany body. I guess its all preference, but I would say the Hellraiser is more bang for the buck. I personally didn't like the feel of the neck, I might give it another chance though.

The 7321 is a decent axe, but yeah, the pickups are craptasticles.

I'd say it's a bit unfair to compare it to a hellraiser, because the HR is definately a higher end axe.

Even if you compare a 7321 to an Omen, the omen still comes with better pickups. The 7321 can be quite nice with some decent pickups, but at least the HR is hassle free.

Try them both when noone's in the store, go on a tuesday or something. Buy the one YOU like the best.

You shake your ass but you're already dead.
