lol, get him Nik.

I prefer the look and sound of EMGs ( im not a fan of the 60-7 either, too glassy in the neck. 707 is better neck pup choice). I know there are blackouts out there, but i like to stick with what i know and like, lol.

now if i had the money to buy the blackouts, id give em a try, but the 8527 broke me, lol.

Looking for an Ibanez RG970XL

Just go ahead and fucking put the EMG's in man, if its what you like and are capable of routing. I <3 EMG's and i've tried blackouts, the only advantage i really see is no routing, i like the EMG tone better (Assuming we're talking about a pair of 707's, yummy.)

Guys, its HIS guitar that he bought with HIS money!
sure we hate to see it routed, but its what HE wants to achieve HIS tone, not your tone...

anyway, the guitar looks badass man!
congrats!

Nice score, congrats.

I am also a fan of the EMGs but if she were mine I would not route her. It's not mine, it's yours so do what you want and I don't think your destroying a nice guitar, you're just lowering it's resale value and limiting your choices if you ever do get sick of the EMGs but I don't think either of those are a problem in your case.

Someone get a move on and sell me your B7 or CST before I spend my money on something else I don't really want

Mmm... tis fucking nice. Nice low action too!

Also let the man install his EMGs. If I had cash, I would still buy it in the hypothetical situation he has to sell it haha.

If that had a maple board and reverse headstock... and then you installed the EMGs, you would have a Buz McGrath lookalike

holy fuck!
