i really don't see why you don't just get some standard sized blackouts. it will be much easier and cost-effective.

I guess its cool as he doesn't plan on selling it. Otherwise it would take a big hit in its resale value.

definitely, but its already gonna take a big hit with two quareter sized dings on it. hence the reason i got it for so cheap, lol. but thats alright, im not into appearances.
on the plus side, after always longing for a RG7CT, i noticed that this one is identical, but it has a couple of extras that i like *glow in the dark side dots *the routes for the volume and tone pots are sunk in the body *binding around the neck and headstock. *a nice veneer on the headstock as ooposed to the CTs just Black one |

I'm not going to tell you NOT to put EMG's in your guitar. After all, it is YOUR guitar. However, you really have nothing to lose by trying a set of standard size Blackouts first. If you hate them, you can probably sell them for whati you paid for them, and then go have your guitar routed for EMGs. If you like them, then you just saved the resale value of your guitar.

they've got a point.
from my experience, i really prefer EMG's. And before you all start with your EMG 607s arent EMG's bullshit, yes they are, and you still have to route. They're closer to a 707 than a blackout is. i prefer the 60-7, and Im not sure which i like more, the 707 or the blackouts, but im wanting to get some blackouts to try em out for a longer period of time, just to save myself the routing out a nice guitar. they really do have to grow on you
