Well, lets see what has in that package.. It has something to do with this:

Start by taking off the knobs. I use a thin cloth and a flat head screw driver to loosen it up before I pop it off.

Unscrew the screws


Put them somewhere with high contrast, so you don't loose them.


Loosen up the strings so there's plenty of clearance for the old pg to come out without the pickups screws fucking up your finish.


Important: Be sure to pop those babys into the cavity. If you try to remove the old pg with those still attached, you night break some connections, and you don't want to wait for the iron to heat up.


Now you can slide that baby out of there. Use the trem arm to allow for any more space you might need heh

Unscrew your PUs and get them off the old pg.


Bye bye.


Mount the PUs back onto the new pickguard and slide it under the strings. Then put the pots back on and the 5 way by lifting that side of the pg up. Making sure you moved all the PU wires into the routed slots, lay the pg down, and screw it on.


Tighten up those pots and switch screws, and slap those knobs back on.


Starting to look metal. Very metal.




I was going to make another tutorial on how to set up a floating trem, but i didn't get new strings and I usually oil the fretboard. So when I go pick up a new set I might just do that. Maybe.
So after tuning her back up and cleaning her off:
