Well, this weekend im possibly throwing a few song ideas together wtih a few other musicians and we may stat a band.

They wanna make something heavier but still keep it catchy and melodic.

If i had full reign over it itd be a protest the hero rip off in drop a

But yea. heres a short vid I made of 2 riffs, and then a variation of another one.

Im playing through a Peavey ValveKing amp. But i put some EHX 6l6s in it along with some Mesa 12ax7s . So its kind of a franken amp, but i love the results. oh and its also ran through a dbx compressor.
Guitar-s7320 (pretty obvious)
Pick- jazz 3 (who doesnt use these things now

)

Not so bad, but the tone is horrible imo, maybe that mic you use

But riffs are nice

to much mid in my opinion your low end sounds like scratchy mud.

It was a bit sloppy, but you can get some better ideas doing it syncopated.

i'm not sure how much of that is really his tone... This sounds like it was just recorded through a camera mic, which is surely not intended to pick up low guitar frequencies

pretty interesting. Not my style but if you put a band together i'll check out your myspace.

haha yea, my camera really made my tone sound wierd..

my friend pointed it out to. But style wise its supose to be for a hardcore/beatdown band.
Influenced mostly by The Acacia Strain, Recon, Whitechapel and so on.

its meant to be not terribly hard to play, heavy as hell, and catchy.

Our band goal is to just play really fun shows and get the crowd into it as much as possible so we are staying away from any really techy things.

just heavy. haha
