My first Seven is finally here!

I finally got my RG7420 in the mail yesterday. I spent about 3 hours figuring out how to restring (hey first time setting up a locking trem) it with 10-56 instead of the electrical cables the previous owner had on. I installed a tremol-no managed to fuck up the string/spring balance and went through 2 spare high E's but its finally perfect. This by far the most comfortable neck I've played in a long time. Beats the hell out of my Epi six that was my main guitar before this.

I was going to strip the paint on it but it looks so damn cool in person

It had a back cover, but I kinda fucked up when I tried using a dremel to cut a hole in it for the tremol-no

The only thing I don't like is the pups. The Burstbuckers in my Epi sounded a lot better than the stock Ibanez ones but the Epi doesn't lay as good as this so its not gonna be seeing as much playing time as it used to.

Man, when I got my first seven I played the intro to puppies on acid/the mirror with my drummer 10-12 times (we lived together, but like shawn and stitch

), then was like wtf now?

I love that thing, it hasn't been in tune since the day I got it but its fun to tap on

Thanks, and the Mesa has a nice instruction manual for me to read through if I get to confused

Thanks, its a DC-5 with the extension cab. I got it for like $700 off Craigslist. I should getting an attenuator soon so I can start cranking this thing without going deaf
