Does anyone else keep getting this REALLY annoying question?!?!? I used to like the extra attention that my 7s got me, but now every time someone else sees it: "Is that a 7 string?" WELL YOU'VE JUST COUNTED TO 7 HAVENT YOU!!!!!! If you didnt think it had 7 strings then you wouldnt be asking me!!!!! Why ask if you've just counted them???!

I prefer it when they don't notice, take a G open shape across all the strings and strum it.

yeah. when i had the 7420, people would come in and see it and be like wait, wtfuck is that?
and get all uppity about it. i had one person say it was stupid. and when i compared it to a 5 string bass, they said basses should go lower, guitars should not. but its ok to downtune a 6, so whatev.
its funny sometimes, and i dont mind when people like to learn about it, then its a good thing. but sometimes its just like you ought to have "yes, its a fucking 7" on tape somewhere

When someone asks you if its a seven string, start to count them and then say: OMG your right! This is going right back to the shop!

Sometimes they ask you when your on a music store, and comes a guy and start looking at you playing, and becomes hypnotized.

Then he ask "It's that a 7 string?". Yeah, it is. Uh, I cannot play with 6, 7 it's a madness.

Then I administer

I always refer to my guitar as my seven and my bass as my six, so that can be confusing

So far I've just gottin looks at some stores like "that nu metal kid with his seven string" I can tell they think it's stupid, but they're like classic rock guys that hate anything new.

However the owner of my favorite store plays sevens and the only thing he's said to me about it is, "can I try your seven?"

My favorite question though is whenever I take out my six string bass is, "what the hell kind of guitar is that?"
