AANJ body @ non-AANJ neck?

heads up to my recent project i need to know if the carving of the aanj rg 7620 body might not to be too big that there could be space between the body and the jem 777 neck if finally bolted on. need to know that because i have to decide between 2 necks which have its auctions end soon...

sell me a s 7420. now.

always looking for ibz (pre-) prestige necks and bodies, sixxers oder sevenstrings...

recent setup: rg 2077 xl + 5150 (diezel kt66 mod) + sonic stomp @ loop + ts 808 + jackson 412 cab w/ stock speakers = kick ass undress

You are putting a 6 string neck on a 7 string body? Im totally confused.

Seperately - I have bolted a non AANJ warmoth 7 neck to a AANJ Ibanez Universe body in the past before but it took me HOURS of shaving both to get the scale back to the way it is supposed to be due to completely incorrect fit. I would NEVER do that again.

You'd need to add wood to the heel of the UV(I assume here, because there is no 7 string "Jem") all the way to the end of the fretboard overhang for it to work.

Also, someone tried this once before. Scroll to the very bottom of this page:

if you want to fit a JEM neck to something, you'd be better off getting a gutted RG 550. A 7620 takes way too much work for something that wont sound as good due to all work you'd have to do to the neck and body, and it'd just be a waste of time. Get a RG550 body or older RG body without a neck. that'd be a bolt and be done with it operation.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

Okay, cause some people have done some crazy shit, converting 6's to 7s and whatnot. Just wanted to make sure you were sane ;p
