I've finally gotten a hold of scales! and a minor question

Yes! At last, I've come to understand the scales and their modes, and the expression of how all scale-modes derive from the C Major.

Now, on to the minor question: What sort of colour would suffice for painting the truss rod cover? I figured a white truss rod cover along with my (coming) white pickups would complete the image. However, I don't plan to do anything that I'm not 100% sure on, so would you guys happen to know what kind of colour I should go for? Sprays? Plastic model colour? (I've already got this, so if you'd green-light me on that one, it'd be great.)

From the Ionian mode, not from C major. Sure, there's a certian amount of truth to calling it C Major, from a historical perspective, but really there's a bit more to it than that. It's not our fault the church was wrong.

Why not just order a white plastic replacement? They should be cheap, and it won't flake or chip...

Blurgh, why hassle with another one when I've possibly got all the goods that I need? All I need is for someone to tell me if there's a better way.

Light sand it, prime it, spray it, take your time and let each coat totally dry before the next and you'll be stylin. Krylon actually works pretty well, but keep in mind it'll take 2-3 days to really do it right.
