You can't beat a good couch shot, and they don't come much better than that one!
![]() What's your main 'go-to' out of the bunch? |

Well the blue 7620 is the main one for gigging (and it still has my sweat caked all over the front as you can see). I also gig with both the CTs as well. The CT on the right is also my favorite for recording and I use the 2027 for some recording as well...but for some reason the GR is probably my all time favorite out of the group. If I was more of an Ibby fan I'd be jealous, but I must say the two tops of those CTs are absolutely gorgeous bro! I can't tell which one I like more... the crazy multi-directional flame top or the super-straight pinstripe flame!

This reminds me of that time Rich from Ibanezrules got like 33 DNAs together and took a huge couch shot.
"There's so much DNA on that couch!" ![]() It was something like $50,000 of guitars.

An obscene amount of DNA and money for any couch.

shit Eric that is awesome collection you have there and I am not really surprised that the GR is your favourite.Obviously you are the best person to ask about pickups in mahogany. So if you don't mind me asking can you recommend me some pickups for me 2027. |

In my 2027 I have a D-Sonic/Air Norton combo... In terms of a neck pickup in mahogany, look no further than the AN - super smooth, sounds great and I even put one in the neck of one of the CTs. The D-Sonic sounds really good in the bridge and it's very clear but the Blaze Custom that I have with the AN in the CT is my favorite pickup in mahogany hands down. Super crunchy, warm, and clear. The PAFs in the other CT sound good as well but I wouldn't reccomend them in a main axe as they are very articulate but don't put out quite enough "umph". Hope that helped somewhat and if you have any more questions feel free to ask. |
