My Carvin is all Mahogany and it has a tung oiled neck. No problemo.
That's a nice one did you order it new or get it off of EBay?
what are the rest of the specs on it?

If I have my info straight, all Carvins have graphite rods in the neck to prevent warping

Also, I love that guitar! The chrome hardware looks so good on the blueburst, and the Mahogany neck is perfection.

back of the neck looks really nice! i think the guitar would look cooler with black hardware though.
