Just a quick update on a couple of the latest projects. Sorry guys, both are sixes, but I've got a seven coming up as soon as the neck wood comes in.

Can you describe this punch? I'm intrigued.

And, how wild will you get with multi-scale?

It's kind of a mid range aggression. Opposite of smooth. On my own personal guitars I usually use a DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck position to get that super fluid smooth neck tone, but the bolt-on neck joint helps maintain a bit of aggression that I can call out with a heavy pick attack, especially with the bridge pickup. I typically use something a good bit brighter in the bridge like a Humbucker from Hell to give me a wide tonal range. The bolt-on neck helps keep the guitars percussive attack when I want it.

As for multi scale necks, I cut them by hand so I'll do as crazy a scale as I'm paid to build.

Got a few more picks of one of my latest projects.

I applied some naphtha to the koa for the pics to bring out the grain. This guitar will have a clear finish that should do something similar to the color and grain patterns. It's getting close. I hope to have it ready for finish in another week or so. I'll make sure to post some pics when it's done. Enjoy.

And mmmm Koa.

I only play 7 string sometimes. Does that make me a bad person...?
